An anchor will allow you to keep your boat secured in the spot where you break down. To be safe, purchase more than one anchor so you have a spare.
There are different types of anchors on the market that you can purchase, such as the claw, fluke, and plow. The claw is commonly used with many boaters. This is because this anchor works well in a variety of sea or lake bottoms, such as coral, rock, sand, and mud. The fluke anchor is also popular and is made of lightweight, durable aluminum. This anchor works well in sand and mud but does not work well on other types, such as hard surfaces. The plow anchor has a very sharp hook so it can easily penetrate any type of sea or lake bottom.
